The LEAP multiplier event involving Portugal and Spain took place at the Auditório and Sala de Eventos of the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) on April 13, 2018. The number of participants from Vigo was 37, involving mainly polytechnic students of computer science, software programming and electronics. Some teachers and companies representatives also participated. From the ISEP, there were 61 participants, involving both students and teachers.
The session took place from 10:00 to 14:00. To begin presentations were provided by LEAP partners at the University of Vigo, Prof. Manuel Caeiro, and at the ISEP, Prof. Carlos Vaz de Carvalho). Additional, a presentation from the Spanish Optare Solutions software company was also given, focused in the adoption of agile approaches. After these initial presentations, where the LEAP project and games were introduced, the participants had the opportunity to practice the LEAP games freely, providing assistance when required. They were playing for two hours. Then, during the meal time, opinions and feedback were collected. The event was an opportunity not just to show the products developed at the LEAP project, but also to know each other better, Spanish and Portuguese, and to discuss the advantages and drawbacks of lean and agile approaches. The feedback was generally positive and some participants asked about the possibility to use the LEAP products in the future.
